I believe less time than that is needed, just a little. If you have these lessons and the good coach it is possible definitely for maybe 3 years. Maybe your age though could raise the bar a bit higher but as you get older and stronger you develop. I have a very good tip for you, if you get stressed on the course you will play bad, stay cool and calm.
Adam you have already set a goal for yourself and you obviously have fallen in love with this game. I would suggest that you change your goal a bit and instead of trying to get your handicap down to a 4 aim for becoming the best player you can be. It is never too wise to set limits on yourself. You could just become to best player to ever tee it up who knows. You have started yourself in the right direction by setting a practise schedule and I hope you plan to play more than you practise. I’m not familiar with your financial restraints but must assume that you’re trying to use your golf game to pay for your education. The lessons from your pro are a good idea but be careful not to get to the point where you have too many thoughts in your mind to digest. Your pro will tell you when it’s time to move on to the next step in your progress toward your goals so listen to what he has to say and ask questions as you already have. Good luck in your march toward your goals
Depends upon your natural talent for golf, your dedication and the coaching you receive.
Yes, I believe you can do it. Your natural talent in sports will come in play. But your determination and focus is what’s going to either help you succeed or fail you.
it is easy if you do these three things
1. Practice every day
2. Keep your confidence/mental game in tip top shape
3. have fun and don’t care if something bad happens and go crazy if something good happens. (even as little things like making a 5 foot putt!)
I know this works because i am a 3 handicap and it obviously worked for me.( Oops i forgot get lessons every once in a while too)!
I don’t think so. That’s a very lofty goal, but possible if you practice everyday it may be possible.
It takes some people 10 years of weekly play to become scratch players. Good luck either way.
The question ‘ Is 4 years enough time to be a 4 handicap player if you just started the game’. The answer is “If you have the hand - eye coordination , the talent to make shots, good recovery chips and putts you can attain a 4.” I would advise that you get all the competitive experience that you can, then test yourself with the juniors at your course. That will tell you how well you are doing against a peer group.
im not quite sure depends on your skill level, possibilty is you will never make it there, or you will make it there in 2 years
Well..
Im 12 and im off 8 at the moment.
Ive only been playing for 2 years.
and im hoping that i get my handicap down to 6 by the end of the year.
I practicv everyday for 3 hours during school times and basically all day during weekends and holidays.
I get a lesson once every week.
So yeh..
why not?
you could practice alittle bit more and your dreams will come true =]
xoxoxoxoxox
