The Golf coach heard i was taking lessons and now pursuaded me to join the golf team. However, im not very good and am reluctant. How do i know which clubs to use and overall not make a fool of myself in practice. I’ve played before but average 6 or 7 hits at a 18 hole golf course. Thank you. you need to go to the driving range…im assuming you have clubs but do not know how far you hit them. start with your pitching wedge and aim at the 100 yard marker. Notice the distance the ball travels and go from there.
im not a power hitter…probably in the middle of the pack and i hit my pitching wedge a little over a hundred yards. my 7 iron goes 150 and 3 iron a little under 200. theres a very rough guideline for you to go by.
Maybe you need to tell the golf coach that you’re not ready for the golf team at this point of time. Keep taking lessons and get as many tips as you can from the person you’re getting lessons off and go from there.
